How did the Renaissance take place?

Answers

There are many causes to the Renaissance, the first is the Bubonic Plague, also known as "The Black Death." The plague spread throughout Europe like wildfire during the 1300s but ultimately led to good changes in business and trade in places like Italy. Italy moved away from meager grain sales to the sales of fine items like wine, oil, cheese, and leather goods. Italy's central location made it a great hub for business and trade with the countries of Northern Europe. (I realize that Italy was not actually called Italy during the Renaissance; however, it is the easiest way to picture it since that is what we call it now).

Another cause of the Renaissance was the new idea that social class didn't have to dictate your wealth. For the first time, people realized that they could work hard to earn money and then rise in society, rather than to let the class they were born into dictate their financial freedom.

Overall, the Renaissance was a time when people began to think for themselves and to attempt new artistic feats. The trade of fine items and ideas would eventually lead the Renaissance to spread throughout Northern Europe, and for the first time the working class emerged as wealthy.

Answer: Renaissance took place in a specific ambience of city-states in the northern Italy (Florence, Tuscany; Ferrara, Verona, Pisa, Luca, Milano, Venice, Genoa etc etc.) where the market economy, free-market (thanks to overseas business of some of these city-states) started to develop. These city-states became a destination of some waves of migrations (Jews expulsed from Spain 1492, Greeks leaving Constantinople after being conquered by Turks in 1453) so they soon manifested traits of multiculturalism. These city-towns got quite wealthy so they became centers of arts, architecture, science and philosophy. The psychological effect of that was that of leaving medieval dogmatic, ascetic or austere lifestyle. The result of that was a totally new historical era with its specific values and paradigm.

Explanation: Italian renaissance differs from its later versions that appeared north of Alps (the Netherlands, German lands, France or England).

Which of the following is not a zero emission vehicle? Bike

Electric car

Hydrogen fuel cell car

Hybrid car

*i think it’s either bike or electric car*

Answers

The correct option is D. Hybrid Car is not a zero-emission vehicle.

A vehicle that produces no exhaust gas or other pollutants from its onboard source of power is referred to as a zero-emission vehicle (ZEV).

What is the difference between zero emissions and net zero emissions?

Similar in concept to carbon neutrality, net zero has a far larger scope. In order to attain net zero, more than simply carbon emissions must be eliminated. Methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), and other hydrofluorocarbons are examples of greenhouse gases that are emitted into the atmosphere and are considered to be net zero emissions.

Due to the lithium-ion batteries required to power them, hybrid car manufacturers emit greater emissions as compared to traditional vehicle production. The energy used to manufacture hybrid vehicles accounts for around a third of their lifetime carbon dioxide emissions.

Thus, D is the best answer because a hybrid car does not have zero emissions.

#SPJ6

A zero emission vehicle is defined as a vehicle that produces no exhaust gas. Bikes, electric cars, and hydrogen fuel cell cars will not produce any exhaust at all.

Hybrids, however, aren't considered as zero emission vehicles, as they use both gasoline as well as electricity, meaning that they will still have some exhaust.

Answers

Answer:

Hemispheres can be described as an artificial division of the Earth into 4 parts:

  • The Western Hemisphere
  • The Northern Hemisphere
  • The Southern Hemisphere

This dividing of the Earth has the following primary benefits:

  1. They make the work of mapmakers and navigators, statisticians and Geography teachers a lot easier. This is because it is easier to study the Earth when it is divided into equal parts.

Corundum is a mineral with a hardness of 9 on the Mohs hardness scale. For which application would corundum most likely be useful?
seasoning food
grinding glass
making toothpaste
creating makeup

Answers

On the Mohs scale, corundum is a mineral with a hardness of 9. Glass grinding is the purpose for which corundum would most likely be useful. Hence, Option B is correct.

What is corundum?

Typically including amounts of iron, titanium, vanadium, and chromium, corundum is a crystalline form of aluminum oxide. It's a mineral that helps make rocks. It is naturally transparent, but depending on the presence of impurities made of transition metals in its crystalline structure, it can take on varied hues.

Corundum of the highest quality is likewise quite uncommon. Because of these elements, both types of corundum are among the most sought-after jewelry stones. The red kind of corundum is known as ruby. Sapphires are the names for all other shades of corundum, including colorless varieties.

All the colors of the rainbow are present in corundum, however opaque crystals with drab colors are the most prevalent form. All other colors of corundum are known as fancy sapphires. Rubies and sapphires are the names given to the colors of corundum.

Therefore, Option B is correct.
